Time 2 Remember

Capturing Special Moments 4 Lifetime Memories!

Your Session

Your Session is all about YOU and YOUR FAMILY!

We want you to have a great time at T2R, and thus have a great session! You may have seen how other studios like to pose families- this looks awkward and forced! T2R’s philosophy is to get the fun going, and capture memories while in the making. Our portraits aim to show exactly just how much of a great time you had with us- it’s like playing around, with a photographer in the back ground!

Sounds simple, right? For the most part, it is. But below we’ve answered a few of your most frequently asked questions to put you at ease, and to make sure you are ready for action! If you’re a mom, make sure to also check this LINK out. And High School seniors? Head over HERE after reading this!

Can you give me an overview of what it means to have a session with T2R?

Sure! Step one involves you giving us a call at 1(910)-253-7428. Once we have you on the phone, we’ll figure out what kind of session you’ll need, if we have your date available, and ask for a commitment fee to hold your spot with us on the books. Click here to view exactly what our commitment fees are! The day before the appointment, we will give you a confirmation call just to make sure everything is a-ok. The day of, arrive to your appointment precisely on time and with everything you’ll need. Don’t worry, we will help you decide what to bring! At this point, it’s time for lights, camera, and action! After your session, we will schedule another time for you to come in, about a week and a half to two weeks later. This will be the preview for your photographs! During this time, we will determine what you want to order. A few weeks after final decisions about products are made, your favorite photographs will be delivered here for pick up! It’s just that easy!

Where does the session take place?

The session may take place in studio or on location, depending on what you want to do! We have a great location, full of a state of the art studio and 13 acres of fantastic sets, all at your disposal! We can also travel- popular destinations include the beach, or even your home! For how our pricing works, visit this page!

How long does the session last?

Sessions may last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what we are doing for your session. Newborns, for instance, need feeding time- we recognize that and don’t rush new mommies! Similarly, if your session involves children, we like to take our time to make the child comfortable and ready to play.  Sessions are never rushed so that everyone will feel calm and relaxed. If any one in your party is sick or unusually cranky that day, give us a heads up to reschedule your appointment time with us! We want everyone to feel awesome, which in turn will make the session move forward at a faster pace!

How far in advance should I schedule my session?

Sessions usually book up approximately 2-3 weeks in advance, so please schedule as early as possible to ensure there are openings for your desired session date. This is especially important if you are looking for a maternity or newborn session.

What time should I arrive for my session?

All sessions are by appointment only. Please try to be on time. If you arrive early you may have to wait for another session to finish. If you are late you will have less time available for you own session. If you anticipate being more then 15 minutes late you may need to call Time 2 Remember to reschedule for another day.

What time is the best time for my session?

It is recommended to have morning sessions for babies and children, as it is the time of day they seem to be their happiest and is ideal for creating the best portraits. They are ready for play mode! Afternoons seem to be the calling card for families with teen and pre-teens, and the evenings are usually best suited for boudoir. These guidelines are not strict of course, but are what we believe is necessary to maximize your time with us!

Should I bring someone with me to help me with my children?

Children tend to get over stimulated with several people trying to get them to smile.  Sometimes the very best portraits are created when everyone has left the room to allow Stacie to work one on one.

How big of a group can I bring?

Although we have done as many as 25 family members for one session, this is generally not recommended. The smaller the amount of people, the easier it is to have everyone take the photographer’s directions. With larger groups, there’s bound to be at least one person making a funny face during each shot! If, however, you find that your needs are for quite a large group, T2R can do this as well- we do love a good family reunion!

Do you shoot black or white or Color?

Both, actually. As you are about to order your photographs, black and white, color, and a few other effects will be available to you! To learn more about the editing process, click here!

What do you recommend for my child/family to wear?

Stacie likes to keep the focus on the subject; therefore, simple clothing choices are the most ideal for creating classic portraits. Solid color clothing is highly recommended, so as not to detract from the expression. Please try to avoid logos or busy patterns. To achieve the most natural look, casual dress is preferred. We want you to be nice and comfy! If families, couples, or children are being photographed together, clothes that are similar in style and color are best for a nice coordinated look. In keeping with the casual look, bare feet are preferred over shoes. Children also look great in bare skin/bare feet, which is the preference for newborn and most children under the age of one. For children one outfit is sufficient, but you can bring as many as your session will allow! Maternity portraits can be clothes or nude. For nude shots in boudoir and maternity, hands, fabric, or various poses can be used to cover body parts.

We also have a wide beardth of costumes and clothing on site- and love getting crazy with dressing up. Just let us know what you want, and we can make it work!

What colors are best for black and white portraits?

For black and white portraits, you want to be sure to avoid white clothing. Darker color clothing is preferred. This does not necessarily mean BLACK. It can be red, dark green, dark blue, maroon, purple, etc.

What colors are best for color portraits?

For color portraits any color will work. Be sure to choose colors that compliment your skin tones. Don’t know what works best? Ask one of us and we can help you out! If you are having an outdoor session, please be sure to avoid green colors.

When can I see my proofs?

As already stated, you will be able to see your proofs during your presentation appointment– approximately 2 weeks after your actual session! During this time, we will also have a private consultation to figure out what fits your needs, as well as to show you a variety of products that can be made with your memories on them!

How long is the viewing/presentation?

An hour long appointment will be scheduled for your viewing, but if you feel you need more time please let Stacie know so that arrangements can be made. If you have an idea of what you want, however, presentations can be relatively quick. It’s all dependent upon what you want! We can guarantee that after you see your presentation, you’ll never want to leave!

Who should come to the viewing?

Anyone who is significant in the purchase decisions should come with you at this time, as you will be placing you order during this scheduled appointment. Otherwise, family, friends, and even your children are more than welcome to come see themselves ‘on the big screen!’

How long will my images be archived for?

All images are placed on our website for your ordering convenience for 30 days. After that, we will archive them for up to 6 months. If you would like to retrieve them, or store them indefinably with us, there is a nominal fee.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Please make all checks payable to Time 2 Remember.

Do I have to pay in full at the time of ordering?

We offer a flexible plan of paying, 50% before the order is placed and 50% when the orders are picked up. If the images are left in the studio after 30 days we cannot be held responsible for them, but really, who wouldn’t want their beautiful images?

Is there sales tax on my order?

Yes. The state of North Carolina charges 6.25%, which will be charged on any order.

How long does it take to receive my ordered prints?

Quality takes time, please allow 4-6 weeks for your order to be completed. Some orders may take longer. We look at you portraits as investments and heirloom, so like your session, we’d never want to rush them!

Can I scan or copy my prints?

Portraits are just like artwork or music. It is illegal to reproduce a professional studio portrait without written permission from Time 2 Remember Photography; it is also illegal scan professional images on to a home computer without written consent from Time 2 Remember photography.

The minimum fine for scanning professional images without permission is $30,000. Federal copyright laws protect all images. Copying of any kind is strictly prohibited.
